Suzuki Swift Facelift was launched in the international market recently. The Maruti Swift facelift is now expected to enter the Indian market very soon.
Recently, Suzuki has launched the Suzuki Swift facelift in the UK. It is expected that the new facelifted Swift will enter the Indian market by the end of this year. The global-spec facelift receives some minor styling updates along with a new hybrid engine.
Maruti Swift facelift will receive facelift updates soon
It is likely that the facelift Maruti Swift will reflect the updates on the new Swift sold in its home country, Japan. The front end will be at the centre of the facelift makeover with the most significant updates. There will be a new front grille with honeycomb-mesh pattern and chrome applique. The bumper is redesigned, and the LED headlights are reshaped. It is expected that the facelift Maruti Swift will get dual-tone alloy wheels. The rest of the design is likely to stay unchanged.
On the inside, the facelift Swift will get some minor updates, including a slightly updated dashboard and a new interior colour scheme. It is expected that the facelift model will come with new upholstery and headliners. As for the international-spec Suzuki Swift, some new features are added, for example, 360-degree camera and paddle shifter. However, these new features are unlikely to make it to the India-spec model. Instead, the Maruti Swift facelift will continue to offer the same equipment like 7-inch Smart Studio touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity functions.
Maruti Swift will receive major cosmetic updates for the front
Under the hood, Maruti Swift will get a new 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine which can be found on the Dzire facelift as well. The new mill can generate a top power of 91 PS and a maximum torque of 118 Nm. This engine will be offered with both manual and AMT gearbox. Compared to the existing engine, the 1.2-litre K Series petrol unit, the new engine is more powerful.
Maruti Swift is currently available at the price range starting from Rs 5.19 lakh to Rs 8.02 lakh (ex-showroom). After the launch of the new facelift version, it is expected that the price of the premium hatchback will slightly increase. Maruti Swift facelift is likely to cost from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh.
