More than 3 Maruti WagonR CNG Models Sold Every Hour!

Maruti WagonR CNG has achieved 3 lakh unit sales mark. Currently, the CNG variant is offered in two different trim levels, namely- LXi and LXi (O).

Maruti Suzuki WagonR CNG has become the top-selling CNG car in India. The CNG trim of the hatchback has achieved 3 lakh sales milestone, which means more than 3 units of the WagonR CNG are sold every hour, thereby making it the most successful CNG car across all passenger vehicle segments. Maruti Suzuki says that the WagonR has been a part of 24 lakh families across India. The car is popular among the buyers for its boxy looks, high seating and spacious cabin.

Mechanically, it derives power from a 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine. The former produces 67bhp of power and 90 Nm of torque, while the latter puts out 82bhp and 113 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT.

The CNG model of the car is offered with the 1.0-litre petrol engine, which is tuned to develop power and torque outputs of 58bhp and 78 Nm. It comes paired with a 5-speed MT. Maruti WagonR is retailed at a starting price of Rs 4.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level LXi trim and goes all the way up to Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec ZXi variant.
