The 2020 Thar is available with two engine options – 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L turbo-diesel. The former of the two puts out a rated output of 150 Hp and 320 Nm. The oil burner, on the other hand, develops 130 Hp against 300 Nm. The gearbox options on the 2020 Thar include a 6-speed MT and 6-speed automatic gearbox. Also, it comes with a BorgWarner 4X4 transfer case with low-ratio gearbox and mechanically-locking rear differential as standard fitment across the range. The top-spec trim, however, comes with brake-locking front axles. Prices for the all-new Thar start at Rs. 9.80 lakh.
