New Toyota Fortuner Facelift Launched at Rs 29.98 lakh

Toyota has launched the new Fortuner facelift with an updated 2.8-litre diesel engine and the same 2.7-litre petrol motor as before. It also gets new features and some styling tweaks

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has finally launched the new Fortuner facelift in the Indian market. The SUV is now also offered in the Legender trim, which is also sold in several Asian markets. The price of the top-spec diesel variant is now around Rs 3 lakh more expensive. The new 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift is offered at a starting price of Rs 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 37.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec model. The pre-facelift model of the SUV was priced between Rs 28.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to Rs 34.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The automaker has made several changes on the exterior and interior of the car. Outside, the standard trim of the SUV gets revised front look with sharper headlights revised grille, sporty looking front bumper, new fog lamp housing, wider air intake. It also gets a new set of alloy wheels and updated rear combination taillights. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender features a number of visual tweaks to differentiate it from the regular Standard variant. It employs distinctive bumpers, new radiator grille, LED headlamps with bespoke LED Daytime Running Lights, sequential turn indicators, machine cut 18-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone black roof finish. The Standard Model of the SUV comes loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, ventilated seats, JBL audio system with 11 speakers, lockable differential, front clearance sonar, power steering with VFC, dedicated sports mode and blacked-out leather cabin.

On the other hand, the Legender version of the 2021 Fortuner comes with unique features like hydrographic pattern, ambient lighting system, combi meter backgrounder, smart key case, two USB ports at the rear, kick sensor for the powered door, wireless charging facility, two-tone seat upholstery and contrast interior stitching. Mechanically, it derives power from a 2.8-litre diesel motor, which is now tuned to produce 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. It also gets propelled by a 2.7-litre petrol mill, which develops power and torque outputs of 166 PS and 245 Nm.
