The all-new Honda Jazz will have its first world’s premiere at Tokyo Motor Show in late this year. A hybrid drivetrain and full-electric version are on the way.

In late 2018, the next-gen Honda Jazz was first spotted undergoing test mule on the roads, giving a first glimpse of the upcoming five-door hatchback ahead of its launch. This time around, the new Jazz was again caught in its road testing in the Old Continent. A batch of leaked images emerged online yesterday divulges the exclusive exterior and interior details of the new-gen avatar.

2020 Honda Jazz hits the headlines in its latest spy pics

From the latest spy shots, the new Honda Jazz features a restyled exterior making way for a bolder stance and bigger proportions. Unlike the present-day edgy styling design, the 2020 Honda Jazz seems more rounded and bulkier when compared to its outgoing version and other counterparts. We can easily spot a heavily-revised front bumper, courtesy of a new set of 3D projector headlamps, redesigned front grille with thick chrome-plated triple slats as well as bigger air intakes. The 2020 Honda Jazz now comes to offer a slimmer A-pillar while the greenhouse is getting bigger.

All in all, the heavy camo wrap cannot hide its classier styles, from the newly-built prominent wheel arches on the side profile to the freshened tail lamps on the rear-end facade.

On the inside, not much has been revealed about the all-new Jazz’s cabin layout, but a thoroughly refreshed dash with new steering, a floating touchscreen infotainment system and a revamped instrument cluster are the ones we can look forward to. Frankly, these pictures might suggest a pre-production version of Honda Jazz; thus clearer details might be exposed to us a later on.

From our prediction, the 2020 Honda Jazz could be introduced with both hybrid and electric variants in different phases. It is expected to utilize a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine option supported by a hybrid powertrain all good enough for outputting a total power of 151 hp units. Furthermore, rumours also suggest that an all-electric Jazz which is alleged to cover 300 km range per one single charge is on its way to come in the near future.

Reportedly, the next-gen Honda hatchback is heading to its "motherland" in Japan to make its global debut at Tokyo Motor Show 2019. Sales then will commence during the dawn of 2020 in the international spaces. In India, the latest-gen Honda Jazz should be introduced by June 2020. Once launched, the vehicle will have to fight tooth and nail with the new version of Maruti Baleno, the Hyundai Elite i20 as well as the upcoming Tata Altroz.
