Nissan Magnite Concept Interior Unveiled

Nissan has recently revealed images of the interior of of the upcoming Nissan Magnite concept. The SUV is likely to hit the Indian shores by early 2021.  

Japanese automaker Nissan has recently revealed the cabin sketches of its upcoming sub-4-meter SUV, named Magnite. The recently issued official images of the SUV have confirmed that the cabin of Nissan Magnite will employ a large touchscreen infotainment system, which will likely support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’ll also get a fully-digital instrument cluster with a trendy speedometer and even a gear indicator. Moreover, the SUV will come loaded with features like a flat-bottom steering wheel, rear centre armrest, automatic climate control, engine start/stop button mounted on the centre console, automatic climate control and more.

The front seats of the Nissan Magnite get fixed headrests, while the rear seat headrests are adjustable. Elements like the two-tone theme, chromed door handles, self-patterned styled dashboard and chrome-bordered AC vents enhance the premium quotient of the SUV. The production-spec Nissan Magnite will get most of its styling elements from the concept model, including the upright stance, contrast roof, chrome grille, sporty-looking bumpers and blacked-out A-pillar. Engine details of the upcoming Nissan Magnite are still under wraps. One can expect the all-new sub-4-meter SUV to be propelled by a 1.0-litre, 3-pot naturally-aspirated and turbocharged gasoline motors.

The former will likely put out 72bhp of peak power, while the latter will produce 95bhp. Both the engines will come paired with a manual transmission each, while the more powerful unit could even get an optional CVT. The automaker will manufacture the Magnite at Renault-Nissan’s Tamil Nadu-based production facility.  

The SUV is expected to hit the Indian shores by the first-half of next year. Reports suggest that the upcoming Nissan SUV will be retailed at a starting price of Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it’ll compete with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. Moreover, the upcoming Kia Sonet and Renault Kiger will also give a tough competition to the Magnite. The SUV will be based on the company’s CMF-A+ modular platform. The same platform also underpins Renault Triber. The automaker will reveal more information regarding the Nissan Magnite in the coming weeks.
