In all likelihood, the Renault Duster will get a new 1.3-litre turbo direct injection gasoline motor which was also on display at the Auto Expo. Although this engine has numerous states of tunes, the India-spec model will only come with 156 PS and 250 Nm figure, which makes the Duster the most powerful SUV to be powered by a petrol motor in its segment.

The 1.5-litre oil burner will be discontinued from the Renault Duster’s lineup; therefore, the French auto manufacturer hopes that this new motor’s low-end torque will manage to attract the traditional oil-powered Duster customers. The transmission duties on this version will be undertaken by a 6-speed MT/CVT units.

In terms of design, both interior and exterior, there is almost no change to the car. The Renault Duster is equipped with additional features on the top-spec RSZ variant. These include 17-inch alloy wheels, start/stop push button, remote cabin pre-cooling function, automatic temperature control, auto cruise, dual front bags, hill-holder and an 8-inch infotainment screen, etc.

Considering that most engine elements are imported, at least for the time being, the new Duster will be priced at a much higher price than the current model. The official price range of the SUV will be announced at its launch in April. Keep following IndianAuto for more updates on Auto Expo 2020.
