Due to the ongoing unfavourable circumstancs, Skoda Auto India has postponed the launch of its VW T-Roc-rival for a while. Dubbed Skoda Karoq, the all-new SUV will finally see its price announcement on May 6, while its bookings have been underway for a while now. The new model can be booked for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, the Skoda Karoq gained remarkable attention from the press and public. The upcoming premium SUV is expected to be priced quite aggressively at Rs 23 Lakh (estimated, ex-showroom).

Aimed to join the volume-based SUV segment in India, the Skoda Karoq will penetrate into the market through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Hence, it could only go on sale in batches. Nevertheless, there’s a chance of the Karoq entering the local assembly as long if the Czech automotive company can see a suitably high demand among the buyers.
