Tata Motors Extends Free Service And Warranty Period Till July 31st

As owners can't get their cars serviced due to the lockdown till April 14, Tata Motors has extended the free service support and warranty till July 31, 2020.

Tata Motors had earlier announced that it will pay complete salaries to its permanent, temporary, and daily wage workers. Now, in a new announcementm the company has confirmed of extending the free service and warranty period of its cars till 31st July 2020. If a customer’s service period or warranty was to expire in between March 15 to May 31, they don’t have to worry about it. The carmaker will not void their services, as they are now extended to July 31, 2020. This step has been taken to stop customers from panicking as the country is on a complete lockdown since last week due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

Tata Motors has announced to extend service and warranty periods till July 31.

The manufacturer has also suspended production at its manufacturing facilities, along with closing down the dealerships and service centres due to the nation-wide lockdown. The Coronavirus outbreak could also affect the deadline for the sales of BS-4 vehicles, which is now expected to be extended till May 31. With the pandemic hitting almost 700 people in the country and more than 5 lakh people across the globe, people are hardly thinking about buying a new car.

The car manufacturers from our country are supporting the government in every possible way. Mahindra has asked the government to utilize their resorts as hospitals in this crucial time. Also, the carmakers have said that their production facilities can be used to build ventilators.

Tata Motors recently launched an updated Harrier with a BS-6 power plant. It is the same FCA-sourced 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine, but in a higher state of tune. The motor belts out a peak power output of 170 PS and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The SUV is offered with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. Other major updates include the introduction of a massive panoramic sunroof, dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, revised ORVMs, auto-dimming IRVM, electrically adjustable driver seat, and a more comprehensive safety net as standard. It gets brake disc wiping, roll-over mitigation, electronic stability program, corner stability control, ABS with EBD, dual airbags, seat belt warning, and high speed alerts as standard across the range.
