Below is a 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift review video that focuses on all the aspects of the SUV: design, features, motor and transmission options, etc.

Earlier this year, the Toyota Fortuner facelift was spied testing in India. The test mule revealed several styling updates with similar off-road capabilities to the current version. Although the new Toyota Fortuner is yet to be launched in the Indian auto market, the SUV has already been on sale in several foreign markets for a while now. Below is a review video of the Australia-spec Toyota Fortuner posted by CarsGuide.

The facelifted Toyota Fortuner is sharper than the current version. The polishing LED headlights and large grille give the SUV an aggressive front. The grille and airdam seem to be borrowed from the Lexus. A silver-finished skid plate is available, the front bumper has also been restyled. The side profile remains almost unchanged in comparison with the current version. Nevertheless, the car is equipped with new alloy rims, chrome window line, chrome-plated door handles and new side steps. In the rear, new LED taillights, ‘Fortuner’ lettering on the chrome slat on the tailgate, a redesigned rear bumper and a high-mounted stop light on the roof spoiler are also available. Under the rear bumper is a full-size spare wheel.

While the lower-spec variants of the SUV come with cloth upholstery, the top-spec ones feature leather seat coverings. Although the cabin features a boring styling, several surfaces now come with upmarket materials to give the SUV a premium look. The door pockets can house bottles and other small things. The safety features include seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning system, road sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking and ISOFIX child seat mounts. These features are also expected to be available in the India-bound Fortuner.

The Toyota Fortuner facelift receives its power from a 2.8-litre turbo 4-cyl motor which can generate 200 HP against 500 Nm. The India-bound model is also expected to be offered with a 2.7-litre NA gasoline burner which currently serves as the power source for the existing model.
