The actor has bought the new Land Rover Defender 110 First Edition, whose prices starting from of Rs 89.59 lakh. The SUV is one of the most capable 4x4s you can buy currently.

Bollywood actor and star of movies like Panipat and 2 States, Arjun Kapoor, has recently added the new Land Rover Defender to his garage. The actor was spotted driving his latest purchase when he was captured on camera by the paparazzi. After a quick search on the Vahan portal, it has been revealed that that the SUV is the new Defender 110 First Edition. In India, Land Rover offers the Defender 110 First Edition with two powertrain options, the P300 AWD with a 2-litre petrol engine and the P400 AWD with a 3-litre petrol engine. Prices for the models come in at Rs 89.59 lakh and Rs 95.39 lakh, ex-showroom..

The actor already has a few luxury SUVs in his garage, with the Land Rover Defender the latest addition. In 2017, Arjun Kapoor had purchased the then newly launched Maserati Levante in the shade of Blue Passione Mica, which came with a price tag of Rs 1.65 crore, ex-showroom. Other SUVs in his garage include the Audi Q5 and the current-gen Honda CR-V.

Coming to the Land Rover Defender, it is an all-new vehicle based on the D7X platform, and is a monocoque construction. The SUV is available in two body styles, the 3-door 90 and 5-door 110. Both models are available in five variants - Base, S, SE, HSE and First Edition. Currently, only the Defender 110 series models come to India as CBU units. The old Defender was one of the most revered off-roaders in automotive history, and the new one pays homage to it with things like the Aluminium castings on the windows and the split taillights that are now LED. The boxy and muscular design also remains similar on the new Defender.

As mentioned above, the Land Rover Defender comes with two engine options. The 2-litre petrol makes 292 PS and 400 Nm of peak output while the 3-litre petrol churns out peak power and torque of 400 PS and 550 Nm, respectively. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard and come with Land Rover’s excellent Terrain Response AWD system.
