The Maruti Swift has just received a mid-life update, and here's one example, which is already riding on aftermarket alloy wheels. Check it out here.

Over the 15 years since Maruti Suzuki first launched the Swift in India, it has walked the tightrope of being an enthusiast’s favourite as well as a consistently best selling model. It still is the hatchback benchmark for a perfectly judged balance of ride and handling. In its third-generation currently, Swift is the segment leader in terms of sales, and one of the best-selling cars overall in India. It recently received a mid-life refresh which freshens up the design and adds new and up-to-date features. Today we came across this example of Maruti Swift facelift which gets a new set of alloys.

The pictures have been uploaded by Velocity Tyres on Instagram, in which we can see this facelifted Maruti Swift getting a new set of wheels. This is the VXI trim of the Swift which comes with 14-inch wheels from the factory. The owner has binned them and went for the aftermarket 17-inch multi-spoke alloys, which are wrapped in low profile tyres. The wheels give this Swift an increased ride height, and though the hatchback remains stock except for the wheels, they suit well with the vehicle. If you’re interested in getting a set of alloys like these, you can contact Velocity Tyres on Instagram.

The mid-life refresh of the Maruti Swift gets a new front grille with a silver finish on the grille mesh along with a chrome strip on the centre.  There are 3 new dual-tone colours - Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black roof, Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black roof, Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White roof. Other than that changes are negligible with the new Swift retaining most of the elements from the pre-facelift model. Over to the interior, the updated Swift gets new features like an updated 4.2-inch TFT MID display between the analogue dials, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Studio which offers better integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, key synchronised auto foldable ORVMs, and cruise control.

The facelifted Maruti Swift also gets a new 1.2-litre engine, which does duty on the Baleno as well. It churns out 90 PS and 113 Nm of max power and torque figures, respectively. It also comes with an idle start-stop system for better efficiency and can be paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission.
