The pictures you see here are the work of Kleber silver, and this render envisions what the production version of the upcoming Jeep SUV may look like. Dubber the ‘Jeep Jr’, the render borrows elements from various vehicles in the Jeep range. The headlamp and grille have been lifted the whole sale from the Grand Wagoneer while the front air dam and bumper has been inspired by the Cherokee. The side profile resembles the Compass, the current smallest SUV, but gets a few changes. The lower body gets black cladding all-round for off-road use, while it gets a dual-tone paint scheme with the roof blacked out. Contrasting silver roof rails have been added while the wheels are blacked out and cover the disc brakes for all four wheels. Over to the rear, there’s a new rear bumper design while the high boot lid and LED lights are borrowed from the Cherokee. The boot lid gets a ‘Trailhawk’ badge, suggesting it may be the off-road flagship variant as the badge is only given to vehicles which pass Jeep’s rigourous off-road tests. Overall, this design looks quite imposing and impressive, though the production SUV will look largely different.

Details about specifications and powertrains haven’t been disclosed as well, though most likely it will be offered with a petrol and a diesel engine in India. The compact SUV segment in India is one of the most fiercely competitive and crowded segments in India. Upon launch, the new Jeep will compact against the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and the upcoming Renault Kiger. Jeep will launch the vehicle in a year or two and is expected to be priced competitively.
