The Indian auto market had long anticipation for the new-gen  Mahindra Thar, from the first batch of spy shots of the new Thar emerged on the Internet in 2018 towards its official unveiling commenced in August this year. After years of waiting, the 2020 Mahindra Thar is finally launched in India at the starting price of Rs 9.8 lakh (ex-showroom). While the overall design of the new Thar has received good words, the grille design of the iconic SUV is a polarizing talking point. People give the new Thar’s grille mixed reactions and although it does help the Thar gain a modern touch, most of the customers are keen on the older grille design that gets inspirations from the classic Jeep.
