Maruti Vitara Brezza is one of the best-selling cars in the country. This sub-4m compact-SUV is praised for its no-nonsense conventional styling. Also, it is quite spacious and comes up as a VFM offering in its segment. It boasts of a 4-star crash test rating as well. While its 4-star crash-test rating is lesser than the 5-star crash-test rating of Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300, Vitara Brezza has proved its mettle in various crashes that have been reported till date. Recently, we too came across a set of pictures via a social media platform, where Vitara Brezza met with an accident. These pictures were posted by the car’s owner – Sachin Jagdale, after the mishap took place.

It can be seen in the images that the Vitara Brezza was a part of a head-on collision. The details of the other vehicle or the speed of the Vitara Brezza at the time of the accident are not known. Although, the owner has confirmed that everyone walked out it safely. The Vitara Brezza, on the other hand, suffered a lot of damages. Complete front facet of the car has collapsed, and the impact can be seen on the driver-side A-pillar as well.

The front bumper, headlamps, radiator grille, and windshield are nowhere visible now. The bonnet is completely crushed, and so are the front-most members of the chassis. On the inside, it can be seen that the dashboard is in its place, and both the airbags deployed in time. Well, Vitara Brezza’s build quality and 4-star crash rating performed wonderfully here.

Maruti offers the Vitara Brezza with a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. It is capable of producing 105 PS of peak power and 138 Nm of max torque. The gearbox options on the Vitara Brezza include a 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT. Earlier in the BS-4 regime, Vitara Brezza was offered with a 1.3L turbocharged oil burner that produced a peak power output of 90 PS and max torque of 200 Nm. It came mated to a 5-speed MT in the manual variants and a 5-speed AMT in the automatic trims.
