Mahindra Bolero is modified to look like a Jeep Wrangler

Originally, Mahindra cars are inspired by the traditional Jeep design. Going back to the original of the homegrown car brand, Mahindra and Mahindra started off as the Jeep manufacturer in India. The first vehicles to be manufactured by Mahindra is the legendary Jeep Willys which is later developed into the Mahindra Thar. Following the Thar, Mahindra and Mahindra has introduced some car models that are based on the same boxy, tough, Jeep-inspired styling. That is to say, Mahindra SUVs have always inherited certain traits of the classic Jeep cars. This sharing styling has made the Mahindra Bolero an ideal car to start a Jeep-inspired car mod.

The Mahindra Bolero in question is a 2020 model. On its stock form, the Bolero has the boxy silhouette which is not subjected to any change through the customizing process. Despite having a similar silhouette, the Mahindra Bolero is still in need of comprehensive updates to look like an upmarket off-road Jeep Wrangler. Basically, the boxy form with upright stance is the only thing that is retained. Apart from that, the Bolero has replaced its entire shell after the major surgery.

Upfront, the SUV receives a new high-put flat bonnet panel as well as an after-market Mahindra vertically-slatted grille and bumper. The body kit is designed by the Green Army Motorsport, the custom garage that stands behind this major modification. To the side profile, one of the significant updates is the new set of the dominant fender that matches that of the Wrangler. Along with that, it also gets multiple side blinkers and twin sunroofs for the roof. To the rear end, the Bolero has the similar custom bumper seen on the front and big spare tyres that took a large estate of the rear.

To complete this comprehensive upgrade, the Bolero receives a paint job with a new matte grey colour which matches its new off-road-ready and tough images. Besides, the exterior also gets some gloss black highlights.

Coming to the inside, Mahindra Bolero also gets a thorough upgrade. Some of the notable new features of the Mahindra Bolero is the revised dashboard, new power seats, dual-sunroof. Other changes are also added to re-create the premium, top-notch experience of the Mahindra Bolero. It is expected that the total cost of the modification is around Rs 8.5-10 lakh, which is around the same price as a brand new Bolero. The high pricing might discourage a lot of people from giving the same treatment for their Bolero. However, it should be noted that to buy a real Jeep Wrangler, you will have to pay multiple folds of the price for modifying Mahindra Bolero.
