The sub-4m compact-SUV segment is currently the biggest one in the Indian market, and Magnite has grabbed its share of the pie. It is offered with purposeful styling, which in conjunction with the low starting price of Rs. 5.49 lakh is doing wonders for the manufacturer. Thanks to the NISMO badge, Nissan is known to make some of the most fun-to-drive SUVs in the world. However, the brand has not followed this suite with the Magnite. In case the Japanese brand plans to introduce the Nissan Magnite NISMO, how it will look like is a commonly asked question. Digital expert Shoeb R. The rendering artist has managed to create a digital illustration of his understandings of the Nissan Magnite NISMO. The designer has tweaked the regular variant of the Magnite with a slew of changes to give it the NISMO treatment. The changes include Nissan’s V-Motion grille on the front facet, which features a piano black finish. The stock bumper has been swapped with a sportier one. It gets a lot of sharp cuts and creases and a bigger air dam too. Moreover, a sleek splitter is fixed on the bumper’s lip. Also, the designer has fixed an array of LEDs right atop the air vents that cool the brake rotors.

On the sides, the changes aren’t many. It now rides on a set of sportier black-finished alloy wheels and the cladding is now painted in Garnet Red paint scheme as the lower half of the car. As of now, Nissan has no plans to launch the NISMO variant of the Magnite. However, if the carmaker plans to do so, which would be appreciated, it will use the Kicks’ 1.3L turbo-petrol unit that churns our 156 PS of peak power and 254 Nm of max torque. Currently, the Magnite is offered with a total of two engine options – 1.0L NA petrol and 1.0L turbocharged petrol. While the former puts out a rated output of 72 PS and 96 Nm, the latter delivers 100 PS against 160 Nm. The transmission options on the Magnite include a 5-speed MT and CVT.
