The Nexon received a mid-life facelift in February 2020. If you bought the Nexon just before that and missed out on the updates, there is a value-for-money way to change that. Read on for details.
The Tata Nexon was launched back in 2017 and ever since has been a consistent seller for the company. For 2020, it received a mid-life facelift which saw some cosmetic upgrades on the exterior and interior, added new features while the engines have been updated to BS-VI regulations. But if you already have a Nexon and would like to update it, here is a way where you can upgrade to the visual changes of the new model.
As you can see in the pictures, the front end has been changed wholesale to the updated looks of the new model. You get refreshed bumpers front and rear, new skid plates, and the new Tri-arrow design of the lower grille. The headlamp design and the fog lamp housing has been changed as well, both of them getting the full LED treatment just like the updated vehicle.
The shape of the bonnet has been altered slightly while the front grille has been lifted off of the new version as well. It also gets the new dual-tone Blue/White shade like the latest model instead of the erstwhile single shade of blue. That’s all for the exterior changes as the rear and the alloy rims remain the same while there are no changes to the interior as well. According to the owner, the conversion set him back for only a lakh rupees or so. Since the vehicle in the pictures is the top-end XZ variant, it only misses out on a couple of features compared to the Facelifted XZ trim which now gets cruise control, automatic headlamps and wipers, and an electric sunroof.
The Tata Nexon is available in two engine options, a 1.2 litre turbo petrol or a 1.5 litre turbo-diesel, both of them can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT. Prices for the new facelifted model starts from Rs 7 lakh, with the top trim coming in at Rs 12.70 lakh. Between its petrol and diesel engines, The Nexon is available in over 30 variants to choose from, which is good if you like choices or a headache if you want things simple!
