Compared to the standard version of the 2020 Toyota Fortuner, the Legender looks sportier owing to the unique styling package it carries. Its front-end features a sleeker upper grille, a bigger lower grille and sleeker LED headlamps. Together, these features make the Legender enjoy a distinct identity. Even the front bumper is different and looks a tad more aggressive, while the side profile features new 20-inch mags in a dual-tone finish. The posterior features a new bumper. The more premium version is even available in two-tone colour options with black being the contrasting shade.

Inside, the Legender comes with the same aesthetics as the standard version. However, it carries many extra features in the form of a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, wireless smartphone charger, 9-speaker JBL audio system, ambient lighting package and two rear USB ports. Yet another highlight is the Toyota Safety Sense suite that packs in Pre-Collision System (PSS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Both the motor come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission each, while 4WD is optional. The smaller motor offers 150 PS and 400 Nm, while the latter outputs 204 PS and 500 NM. The Legender even boasts upgraded shock absorbers for improved ride. There are good chances of the Legender making it to our shores as it is the modern that has received the most number of upgrades. The updated SUV could reach our shores by the end of the current calendar year.
