Hyundai is going to give the i20 new generation updates. Slated to launch in June 2020, the new-gen version is expected to gain Hyundai i20 an upper hand over the Maruti Baleno which is currently the segment-leading premium hatchback.

Hyundai i20 vs Maruti Baleno Design
The new-gen Hyundai i20 has been revealed yet. However, it is possible for us to draw some conclusion regarding its exterior design using the given teaser images of the exterior.
Hyundai claims that the upcoming i20 will be the first model to reflect the brand-new “Sensuous Sportiness” design language. The same design style has been featured on the Le Fil Rouge Concept car as well as the international-spec Hyundai Sonata. Given these clues, it appears that the Hyundai i20 will look more aggressive and sharper. The signature cascading grille remains but getting a new diamond-patterned mesh. The foglight housing is more angular, resembling the design featured on facelift Elantra. The side of the Hyundai i20 will get chrome application as well as a contrasting roofline. On the rear end, the Hyundai i20 gets larger LED-inserted taillights and a black-out upper boot lid.
Compared to the new Hyundai i20, the Maruti Baleno with its ageing design might look quite outdated. Even the latest Maruti Baleno hasn’t seen any significant changes compared to its previous model. On the contrary to the sporty and sharp styling of the Hyundai i20, the Baleno gets a classy and mature design with curvier shapes and mild design elements.
Just like the exterior, the interior of the Hyundai i20 is not officially unveiled yet. However, the car manufacturer has provided us with some sketch images of the Hyundai i20’s interior. As per the revealed sketch, the Hyundai i20 cabin will sport a four-spoke leather-covered steering wheel which looks identical to the Hyundai Creta SUV. Alongside, the cabin also features brushed-aluminium elements and control buttons of Bluetooth system and cruise control and more. Another highlight of the interior is the horizontal slat running across the dashboard, which is inspired by the Audi Q7. At the centre of the dashboard standing a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen. The design of the centre console is kept simple but functional at the same time. The sketches also reveal that Hyundai i20 will get an ambient interior light system and wireless charging.
Maruti Baleno gets a simple interior design with not many details or buttons. The all-black interior design combined with silver inserts looks classy. Compared to other car models from the Maruti family, the Maruti Baleno’s interior quality is superior. However, putting it alongside the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno does not appear as modern and impressive.
