For the very first time ever, there is an SUV available with three different automatic transmissions available in the market. Powering the Kia Seltos is a 1.5-litre Smartstream gasoline engine making 115 HP of max power and 144 Nm of peak torque, a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor producing 115 HP/ 250 Nm and a 1.4-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine outputting 140 HP/ 242 Nm of torque. These figures promise a fantastic performance of the Seltos SUV on the go.
While a 6-speed manual transmission will be available with all Seltos variants, there will be an exclusive automatic gearbox option for each engine, namely a 6-speed CVT (for the 1.5-litre diesel), a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (for the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol) and a CVT (for the 1.5-litre petrol unit).
