Mercedes-Maybach SUV To Be Unveiled at Los Angeles Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz Maybach SUV is developed on the base of the all-new Mercedes GLS-Class which is going to go on sale next year. Until now, neither the Maybach nor the third-gen GLS-Class is revealed by Mercedes. Therefore, the next-month LA Auto Show will be a significant event for Mercedes in which they will unveil the two important productions.

Even lending the platform of the GLS-Class which goes under the form of a seven-seater, the Maybach might be of a smaller seating capacity, just four or six seater. The capacity is squeezing, so does the weight of the car. The upcoming GLS will be lighter than the ongoing version

The exterior style of the new Maybach is hinted at Beijing Auto Show earlier this year. However, the interior of the interior which is still kept under the wraps is likely to be identical to that of the GLS S-Class. Specifically, it will have a wooden element on the dashboard along with the dual-screen display, signifying the premiumness of the model. Other luxury features will also show up on this new Maybach, like the small-sized fridge on the rear, foldable tray table, electrically adjustable rear seats with massage function.

Mercedes-Maybach will resemble the design of the GLS-Class 

Under the hood of the GLS, there will be a new AMG M177 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which could deliver the peak power of 550BHP at best. What’s more, it will also come with the newest version of the 4Matic all-wheel drive. It is expected that the hybrid GLS560s will also make to this new version of the Maybach.

The GLS-Class is set to be launch in early 2019, this car and the Maybach is expected to hit the Indian market soon after the global launch. It means that the luxury SUV market will welcome another member to the family, besides the Range Rover, the Lexus LX and the Bentley Bentayga.
