While Hyundai has launched the second-gen Creta in Indian, the Russian market gets a facelifted version of the 1st-gen Creta.

Hyundai Creta is one important product for the South Korean carmaker. It is not only sold in China and India, but other international markets also get to experience this feature-packed SUV. In India, however, an all-new Creta has been launched, but the story is not the same for the Russian market. The carmaker has recently updated the last-gen Creta in Russia. In simpler word, the 1st-gen Creta gets a facelift in Russia. This isn’t the first time Hyundai has delayed the launch of a new product in a market. India has also been treated this way with the Verna facelift as it was first launched in China and Russia. The channel works on the principle of churning out higher ROI (Return of Investment). Therefore, Hyundai is planning to launch the second-gen Creta in Russia by mid-2021.

The facelifted version of the Hyunda Creta gets a new grille and a revised bumper at the front.

With the facelift, the changes are substantial but not groundbreaking. The front facet is updated with the use of a new grille and a resculpted bumper. However, it is worth noting that the facelifted Creta looks identical to the pre-facelift version of the 1st-gen Creta sold in India. Since the facelifted version of the 1st-gen Creta sported a big cascading grille that merged into the headlamps, which is not used here. A smaller hexagonal unit is used instead. On the sides, the only change it gets is the new design for the alloy wheels. Also, nothing has been changed inside the car, it continues with the same design as the pre-facelift version.
