2018 Tata Tigor Teased Before the October 10 Launch

The Tata Tigor compact sedan was launched by Tata Motors in March 2017 and is projected to get an updated version on October 10, 2018. Tata Motors has posted a teaser video on its YouTube channel. The video discloses some gentle tweaks in terms of both the exterior and the interior, from which we can expect some changes to the engine as well.

The Tata Tigor facelift exterior will get more-chrome-inserted projector headlamps, LED taillamps and a new blue overall tone. All of these will contribute to the car’s exceptional look.

2. Tata Tigor's modernized interior

The teaser video also indicates that the 2018 Tata Tigor interior will come with some updated features such as new upholstery, a bigger infotainment system with a display measuring 7 inches which support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Twin airbags at the front, corner stability control, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce limitation and parking sensors at the rear are also offered as standard on the 2018 Tata Tigor.

3. Tata Tigor's unchanged engine and transmission

As regards the mechanic specifications, the Tigor is likely to remain the same as the outgoing model. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol motor and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel motor. Both of them have three cylinders and are available with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the petrol engine can also be mated to an AMT.

Though not confirmed yet, 2018 Tata Tigor facelift is projected to be launched on October 10, 2018, coinciding with the festive season. With an expected price of about Rs 5 lakh and the top variant at Rs 7.50 lakh, once launched, it can become the direct competitor against the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
