2019 Chinese-spec Kia Sportage SUV Looks Impressive

China has a thriving and fastest-growing automobile industry in the world. This massive and profitable market has become the main target for various car makers in recent years. On the other hands, the Chinese market has a very specific and different set of demands. Therefore, car makers are putting more effort into developing productions for the Chinese market in response to as per requirement. Kia, Hyundai’s sibling, also puts special attention on the Chinese market. In 2019, Kia will introduce the fourth-generation of the internationally popular model Kia Sportage in China. This fourth-gen model will go on sale under the name Kia KX5.

Kia KX5 looks really different and impressive with the new front design

Kia KX5 will receive comprehensive exterior updates which will add more spice to the current design on the international four-gen Sportage. In place of the old Kia’s signature Tiger Nose grille, Kia will sport a new sleeker and larger grille. Chrome application is now enhanced around the headlight units. Along with that, the headlights now come with LED DRL. These updates have significantly transformed the appearance of the Kia Sportage. That’s said, apart from the front look, the rest of the Kia KX5's exterior stays mostly the same.

Inside the Kia KX5, the dashboard layout has twisted a tad. It now employs a 7-inch full-digital instrument screen and 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system display. A touch-sensitive panel is featured to operate the climate control system. In general, the dashboard now looks uncluttered with fewer buttons. Besides, Kia KX5 comes with a load of new features and new driver assistance functions, including full-view parking camera and AI voice control. Kia also claimed to use a new multi-layer material that has better insulation quality for the Kia KX5.

The manufacturing of the Kia KX5 will be done at Dongfeng Yueda Kia’s plant. Go back to our market, India; Kia will start their business with the compact SUV Kia SP2i. Beyond the launch of this Creta-rivaling vehicle, Kia also makes a plan to introduce one model half a year until 2022.
