2020 Hyundai Creta shares its underpinnings with its not-so-distant cousin, the Kia Seltos. As a result, the 2020 Hyundai Creta has a lot of things in common with the Seltos, especially in terms of mechanicals and features. Speculations abound that the 2020 Hyundai Creta E variant will be priced at par with the Kia Seltos HTE model.

2020 Hyundai Creta will share many things in common with its cousin Kia Seltos regarding features, engines and even prices.

Speaking of the exterior, the 2020 Hyundai Creta E will feature projector headlamps as standard, skid plates for both front and rear, LED tail lamps as well as silver garnishes for the B and C-pillars. To give you a comparison, the Kia Seltos HTE offers us some external features like projector headlamps, shark-fin antenna along with a set of 16-inch wheels.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta is slated to come with Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity debuted in the Hyundai Venue.

The interior of the 2020 Hyundai Creta E follows the dual-tone grey-black colour scheme and comes packed with a 3.5-inch TFT multi-information display, a flat-bottom steering wheel with tilt function, power-adjustable wing mirrors, cooled glove box, power windows, rear AC vents a 12V power outlet among others.

In terms of safety, the 2020 Hyundai Creta E is equipped with a suite of features including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors, central locking and so forth. With these features, it is obvious that the 2020 Hyundai Creta will stay on par with Seltos’s base HTE when it comes to safety.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta will use the Seltos’s BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine option for the base E trim level. This oil burner can bump out 115 PS of max power and 250 Nm of torque on the Kia Seltos. Also, there’s a 1.5-litre petrol motor that makes 115 PS/ 144 Nm of torque on the table of the 2020 Creta. A Creta's 1.4-litre turbo variant is said to hit the showroom at a later date. Just like the Seltos, the transmission duties on the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be taken over by a 6-speed manual transmission.

As stated earlier, the 2020 Hyundai Creta E will sit in the same price range with the Kia Seltos HTE which is currently priced at Rs 9.89 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As such, the 2020 Hyundai Creta E is expected to have a price at around Rs 10 Lakh mark (estimated, ex-showroom) to undercut the Seltos.
