Over 750 Units of New Hyundai i20 Booked Every Day in Last 40 Days

Hyundai i20 has received 30,000 bookings in just 40 days, while 10,000 units of the new i20 are also delivered to the buyers.

Hyundai India launched the new-gen i20 on November 5. Within 40 days after its launch, Hyundai i20 has received over 30,000 bookings in India. It is reported that 85 per cent of the customers opt for the top-spec Asta model and only 10 per cent chooses the dual-tone variants. Also, Hyundai has delivered one-third of the bookings, approximately 10,000 units. If we break down these figures with simple calculations, we can tell you that Hyundai i20 managed to garner 750 bookings every day and over 31 bookings every hour.

As for the infotainment system, the new Hyundai i20 fosters a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay support, along with the BlueLink connectivity system. At the safety front, the i20 is offered with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability management, hill start assist and more.

The new Hyundai i20 is available with two petrol engines and one diesel unit. The petrol range is powered by either a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit or a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo unit. These engines are good for 88 PS/115 Nm and 120 PS /172 Nm, respectively. While the naturally aspirated petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic unit, the latter gets 7-speed DCT automatic and iMT gearbox.

On the diesel range, the i20 derives power from a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, the same unit used on the Hyundai Venue. This engine can churn out 100 PS of peak power. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The prices of the Hyundai i20 petrol range start from Rs 6.80 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.18 lakh. On the other hand, the Hyundai i20 diesel variants are priced from Rs 8.20 lakh to Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
