Skoda Octavia 2020 is going to receive some major exterior updates

Skoda Octavia 2020, according to some reports, will continue to feature the notchback design. On the fascia, the new Octavia will be revised to a great extent. It will get the single-line design for the headlights instead of the current split-up design. The new grille looks more prominent and sleeker. Also, the LED treatment will be applied in both the front and the rear end of the Skoda Octavia 2020. Matrix LED headlight setup which is seen on the upcoming Superb will also be featured on the new Octavia. The rear end will see the new brand name lettering instead of the traditional Skoda logo, generally making the exterior more classy and elegant. Overall, Skoda Octavia 2020 will look aligned with the Czech car brand’s new design philosophy which is seen on the new models like Scala and Kamiq.

Interiorly, this sedan is expected to come with premium features like voice control and a head-up display. On top of that, the new Octavia is likely to include high-quality material throughout the interior.

About the powertrains, Skoda Octavia 2020, in all likelihood, will feature both diesel and petrol engine. Moreover, a 48V mild-hybrid system is likely to be on offer as well. The Indian market, in particular, might get the 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. For the diesel range, the current 2.0-litre engine will be updated to meet the upcoming BSVI emission standard.

After launch, the Skoda Octavia 2020 will continue rivalling the likes in its class, for example, Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra.
