The 2020 Tata Tiago BS6 comes with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated inline-three-cylinder (Revotron) petrol engine. It is the same engine as the previous model, but reworked to comply with the BS6 norms. The 1.05-litre diesel motor has been discontinued now, as upgrading to BS6-compliance would have been a little too expensive to be justified. There are two transmission options available – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

The equipment list also features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an 8-speaker Harman Audio system, automatic climate control, cooled glove box, and height-adjustable driver’s seat.
To comply with the international as well as the upcoming Indian safety norms, the Tiago now has better equipment as well as better structural integrity. The new model has a 4-star adult safety rating from Global NCAP, which is a brilliant feat by the native manufacturer. The car is priced between Rs. 4.60 - 6.60 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
