Something is taking shape - New-gen Honda Civic
In the teaser, Honda has shown some key design elements of the upcoming model. However, the overall design of the Honda Civic is still kept under the wrap. As per the teaser video, the 2021 Honda Civic sports redesigned headlights and new LED DRLs. To the rear end, new-gen Honda Civic features simple and elegantly-designed taillights. Even though the exterior is not fully revealed yet, it is safe to say that the upcoming model will be significantly different from the outgoing version.
In addition, all-new Honda Civic 2021 will also come with other design details like a blacked-out front grille, big Honda chrome badge, revised side profile with new alloy wheel design and side skirting, dual exhaust tips, among other updates. Details revealed on the teaser are also similar to the ones shown on patent images of the new Honda Civic. It must be noted that a few months ago, patent images of the new moel were leaked, suggesting a more mature and elegant design which was widely different from the sleek and edgy styling of the outgoing model.
The interior design of the new Honda Civic is not yet known. It is likely to be inspired by other models on Honda’s line-up. It is expected that the new car will get the 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and semi-digital instrument cluster from Honda Accord. Honda has not confirmed any detail regarding the powertrain options of the new model.
2021 Honda Civic is scheduled to make its global debut tomorrow. Other details of the upcoming model will be announced later. While Honda Civic is widely popular in the international market, in India, the premium sedan enjoys only a small demand. What this means is that there are lesser-than-usual chances of the company bringing the new model to our shores.
