The 2021 Jeep Compass has been finally revealed through a set of leaked images. The India launch of the new Compass is expected to happen next year.
First launched in 2016, the Jeep Compass is yet to get a proper facelift so far. Jeep has been working on a major update to the Compass which has been finally revealed through a set of leaked images recently. Overall, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift looks similar to the existing model but a closer look tells us there’s a long list of changes that the new SUV has received.
The front fascia of the SUV boasts of some refreshing details to the bumper, grille and headlamps. The headlamps get full-LED units and look a bit more angular than the earlier version. The front grille receives more prominent mesh patterns while the front bumper is all-new with dual-tone treatment. That’s to say, there’s a new contrasting black insert that connects the new fog lamps enclosures of the car and is placed above the centre air dam. The LED DRLs are no longer a separated unit but integrated into the headlamps. The facelifted Jeep Compass also gets some subtle revisions at the back, in the form of slightly refreshed taillamps.
As for the Compass Trailhawk, the leaked pictures also give us an idea of how the rugged variant of the updated Compass SUV would look like. The car comes with distinctive front bumper with all-black grille, two-tone bonnet along with the trademark red hooks. There’s a set of refreshed alloys on the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk as well.
While we haven’t got a clear idea of what would be offered on the inside of the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift, we do expect that the new SUV will receive significant changes inside its cabin too. It’s pretty sure that there will be a larger 10.1-inch vertically-placed UConnect5 touchscreen infotainment system on board. The dashboard will receive a new layout with enhanced quality materials. There are talks of a fully-digital instrument cluster on the facelifted SUV, at least on the higher-spec variants.
The India-spec Jeep Compass facelift is likely to feature similar styling changes seen in the leaked pictures but it will carry forward the same set of engines and gearbox as seen in the current model. The India launch of the new Compass is expected to happen next year. Further details on the Compass facelift will be disclosed in the days closer to its official debut in China this month.
