Ford has just dropped a teaser for the upcoming Ford EcoSport Active for the European market

In the newest teaser, the American car brand has revealed the badge and black plastic wheel arches of the new EcoSport Active.  More details will be provided later near the launch date. For now, only a few details of the new Ford EcoSport Active are confirmed by Ford. The American car brand revealed that the new EcoSport Active will feature an improved ride height and receive addition body cladding. Moreover, the new off-road-focused variant will see some updates in terms of exterior and interior. These enhancements are expected to give the crossover a “greater rough road capability”. It is expected that the Ford EcoSport Active will come with special seats, Active-branded scuff plates, and larger wheels.

Currently, Ford EcoSport is available in six variants, including Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+, Thunder and S. The India-spec EcoSport is offered with two choices of engines, 1.5-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are capable of making 122PS/149Nm and 100PS/215Nm, respectively. A 5-speed manual is offered as standard across the range. The 6-speed automatic gearbox is available as an optional choice on the 1.5-litre petrol engine.

It is unlikely that Ford will add the Active trim to the EcoSport’s Indian line-up. However, we do hope that Ford will introduce the new-gen Ford EcoSport in India in the next two years.
