Hyundai Tucson Facelift To Launch On July 14 With BS-6 Compliant Engines

Hyundai Tucson facelift made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo this year. The facelift SUV is expected to be launched on July 14 with new cosmetic and mechanic updates.

At the Auto Expo 2020, Hyundai unveiled the latest version of the Tucson. The official launch date of the facelift Hyundai Tucson is not revealed yet. However, some reports suggest that the Hyundai Tucson will be launched on July 14 in India. On the facelift version, Hyundai will include a couple of cosmetic updates along with BSVI-compliant powertrain options.

In terms of the design, the facelifted Tucson will be different in some aspects. On the front end, the Hyundai Tucson will get the most comprehensive revision with a refreshed front bumper, a more dominant cascading grille, full-LED headlamps with LED DRLs, and new set of fog lights. In addition, the facelifted SUV will also receive some new cosmetic elements like redesigned alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, revised license plate housing, revamped bumper, and LED taillights.

The same Hyundai BlueLink connectivity system used on the Venue and Creta will also be available on the 2020 Hyundai Tucson. This advanced connectivity system will allow the users to control the car functions smartly and remotely. For example, it enables the cooling system to start before you enter the car. Moreover, it also offers a remote engine start-stop function. To support the Hyundai BlueLink system, the upcoming Hyundai Tucson will be offered with an 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Besides, the facelift Tucson will come with some similar features available on the pre-facelift version like wireless charging, electric parking brake and a panoramic sunroof.

2020 Hyundai Tucson will feature several cosmetic updates and updated powertrain options

Other interior highlights of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson include a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, wireless charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, and electronic parking brake.

The Hyundai Tucson will also see significant changes under the hood with new BSVI-compliant powertrains. It will be available with 2 engine options - 2.0-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit. The petrol engine is expected to make a top power of 152 PS while the diesel engine is likely to generate 185 PS. The petrol version will retain the 6-speed AT unit. On the other hand, the diesel engine will receive a new 8-speed AT option. The all-wheel-drive system will be included on the top-spec variants.

The facelift Hyundai Tucson will be available in two trims, GL Option and GLS. The official pricing is not yet announced. However, it is expected to be slightly more expensive than the outgoing version which is priced from Rs 18.76 lakh to Rs 26.97 lakh.
