The upcoming 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has been recently spied while getting tested in Spain. The SUV is likely to feature a few cosmetic and feature updates.

The American carmaker Jeep will launch the new 2021 Compass facelift in India early next year. The new Jeep Compass facelift has been recently spied while getting tested in Spain. The recently spotted test mule was heavily camouflaged unveiling some new styling details. The SUV will employ revised headlamps, grille and taillights. The spy images reveal that new 2021 Jeep Compass will get thinner headlights that merge with the new thinner front grille. The rear facia of the SUV features new taillights along with new inserts. The boot lid design on the car is expected to remain the same, while of bumper design is likely to be revised.

Moreover, the 2021 Jeep Compass is also expected to employ a new set of alloy wheels. Reports claim that the recently spotted model was the plug-in hybrid trim 4Xe. This model is powered by a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine with an electric motor. It is capable of shredding out 240bhp of peak power and is rated to offer 47.6kmpl of fuel-efficiency. Moreover, the SUV can run up to 50 km on electric mode. The Brazilian-spec Compass facelift will be powered by a new 1.3-litre turbo flex powertrain, which is expected to put out 180bhp of power and 270 Nm of twisting force. The engine will come paired with a 6-speed MT, 9-speed AT or an all-new CVT. Furthermore, the upcoming Jeep Compass facelift is expected to be equipped with a fully digital instrument console, 360-degree camera, a new 10-inch vertically stacked touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity options.

The upcoming India-spec Compass will derive power from a new 1.3-litre direct-injection turbocharged gasoline motor with engine start-stop system. The petrol motor is capable of putting out power and torque outputs of 180bhp and 285 Nm. The ongoing model of the SUV is offered with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor. The diesel model will continue to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that produces power and torque outputs 170bhp and 350 Nm.
