Kia Seltos has crossed yet another milestone as it has sold 1.25 lakh units in India in just over a year of presence in the Indian car market

Kia, the popular South Korean premium car manufacturer, entered the Indian market last year with its Seltos SUV. The mid-size SUV has quickly become a very successful model for the brand in its segment. It has already become a common sight on our roads with customers finding the combination of good looks, spacious interiors, and feature-packed trims in an attractive price tag irresistible. So popular in fact, Kia has just announced it has sold over 1.2 lakh units.

When the Kia Seltos was launched back in August 2019, it came with first-in-class features like HUD, ventilated seats, blind-spot detection camera, and others while the wide dealer and service have ensured that after-sales satisfaction has been high. Combined with its bold and distinct looks, a brain-melting number of trim levels, no wonder it has racked up sales at a freakish rate even though it has strong rivals like the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, and its sibling the Hyundai Creta.

The Kia Seltos has two main branches of trim levels – Tech Line and GT Line. It is available with 3 engine choices of two petrol and one diesel. The petrol 1.5-litre 4 cylinder produces 113Ps/144Nm of peak power and torque figures and can be paired with a manual or IVT transmission while the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol makes 140PS/242Nm max power and torque which comes mated with a manual or a 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre turbo-diesel churns out power and torque figures 113Ps/250Nm respectively and you have the option of either a manual or an auto transmission.
