Kia Motors has unveiled its new corporate logo and global brand slogan that reflects the brand’s bold transformation and a new brand purpose. The Korean automaker claims that the new logo represents Kia's ambitions to grab a leading position in the future mobility industry by giving nearly all of its business facets a revamp.

Kia says that the new logo also reflects the company’s new purpose and the values it promises to offer customers with its future products and services. Kia has sealed its brand promise by making the new logo to resemble a handwritten signature. The company says that the rising gestures of the logo embody Kia’s rising ambitions for the brand, and perhaps more importantly, what it offers to customers.

The new KIA logo was revealed during a pyrotechnic display in the skies above Incheon, Korea. The event saw 303 pyrodrones launching hundreds of fireworks in a synchronized artistic display, igniting and celebrating Kia’s new beginning. This has also set a new Guinness World Record for ‘Most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launching fireworks simultaneously’.

Kia Motors stated that it will reveal its new strategy including brand purpose and philosophy as well as application to Kia’s future product line-up on January 15, 2021. The launch of the new logo coincides with the announcement of Kia’s ‘Plan S’ long-term business strategy in 2020. Under Plan S, Kia aims to take a leading position in the global car market, among other objectives. This will mainly focus on popularizing electric vehicles and introducing a broad range of mobility services, tailored to meet the needs and tastes of individuals and local markets.
