Most of the first-time car buyers will target at the under-5-lakh space. In 2020, the automobile market will see the launch of 6 vehicles under that price mark from Maruti, Hyundai, Tata and Renault.

The sub-5-lakh segment is the most common price range in the market. At the price of under 5 lakh, car buyers can get various options of entry-level hatchbacks. Currently, there are around 15 models competing at this price bracket from different car manufacturers from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai to the less popular car brands like Tata, Datsun and Renault. Nevertheless, Maruti Suzuki is the absolute winner of this segment. The Indo-Japanese carmakers have several popular models slotted under the 5 price mark like Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Celerio, Maruti Alto or the recently-launched Maruti S-Presso. Some notable rivals to Maruti’s car are Hyundai Santro, Hyundai Grand Nios and Renault Kwid. Given the popularity of the sub-5-lakh segment, despite the current market slowdown, all car manufacturers will not hold back but keep on launching new models at this price range. IndianAuto will give you the complete list of the upcoming cars in India 2020 under 5 lakhs.
