Mahindra Bolero Transformed Into Jeep Wrangler Rubicon [Video]

Mahindra Bolero is one of the simplest UVs in the Indian market- boxy, reliable, and utilitarian. It is also a great canvas for custom car garages. There have been multiple examples of custom Mahindra Bolero we’ve seen over the years, including a 6x6 and a Jeep Wrangler lookalike.  Here, we have another Jeep lookalike, this time a Wrangler Rubicon.

The custom-built Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (originally Mahindra Bolero) has been prepared by Ravi Singh Nahar, a resident of Mandi Dabwali, Haryana. He offers car modification jobs as per customer requirements. The car has been built with a Mahindra Bolero as the base car. At the front, the car features a new nose and round, LED projector headlamps. The bonnet of the car is also custom, along with the front bumper and wheel fenders. Also, these are all made of metal instead of plastic, which is a nice touch. There is a pair of fog lamps mounted on the front bumper.

The side profile of the car has the essence of the Bolero preserved. The changes include the bigger wheel arches, a huge side-step, along with larger alloy wheels and meaty knobbly tyres. The wheels have been hand-painted green, to match with the body-paint of the rest of the car. The car has been painted black behind the C-pillar and has a beautiful-looking custom tank-cover. There is a separate mount for the spare wheel has been mounted on the tailgate, which looks extremely butch due to the tyre’s sheer size.

The interior has been completely redesigned. The SUV features a new dashboard, borrowed from the Mahindra Thar, and has additional features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and AppleCarplay, power windows, power steering, power, leather-wrapped seats with electrical adjustment, a Sony sound system, a sunroof over the second-row seats, and a moonroof over the front-row seats.

The engine and transmission of the custom Jeep are sourced from an Isuzu Trooper, imported directly from Japan. The car also sports a 4-wheel-drive system for improved tractability, along with new suspension setup. The entire cost of this particular example of modified Mahindra Bolero is around Rs. 11 lakh. In comparison, a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon would set you back by Rs 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom price, pan India).
