First launched in the Indian auto space in second-half of 2018, the Mahindra Marazzo quickly achieved reasonable success due to its good dynamics, refined engine, spacious interior, and attractive pricing. All these traits come at the back of its home-grown company’s effort in providing a world-class product that is comparable to models from international manufacturers. An excellent expedition-ready model of the Marazzo has been created by SRK Designs in a speculative rendering that can be seen below.
The Mahindra Marazzo comes only with a Front-Wheel-Drive layout and this is a big constraint for handling the challenging terrains. However, SRK Designs has added a number of top-notch features which turn the Marazzo into something that looks like an off-road-ready ‘beast’.
The original version of Marazzo was launched with only FWD system
Specifically, the car is packed with a camouflage treatment on its body with wrap-around vinyl element while the front bumper is redesigned with the addition of the LED lamps above the fog lamps. The car looks more rugged with a faux-silver skid plate up front and black cladding all around the lower portion of the vehicle. The blacked-out flared wheel arches and ORVMs along with a roof-mounted tent make it look really very cool. This tents can accommodate 3 to 4 people and can be opened or folded at any time easily. The stock Marazzo competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It gets many segment-unique features such as the rear AC Vents or aircraft-style handbrake.
SRK Designs has created a virtual beast expected to be a big hit when it comes to real life
As we have mentioned earlier, the Mahindra Marazzo MPV recently received a 4-star rating from the Global NCAP safety norms, making it the safest car in its segment. Powering the Marazzo is a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder oil burner that can produce a maximum power of 121 BHP and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox but an automatic transmission is also slated to be added later this year.
