Apart from the price cut, no other changes have been made to the compact SUV. Here’s the complete price table of Mahindra XUV300 along with necessary details of the Maruti Vitara Brezza rival
Introduced in India back in February 2019, the Mahindra XUV300 has been a popular compact SUV that endures quite a success in the Indian space. However, we all know that the Indian compact SUV segment has been seeing the increased competition coming from new products like Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza along with the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger in the waitlist. Mahindra has no other choice but cut the prices of the XUV300, all the ways to keep it competitive and reach out to a wider set of customers.
Except for the two diesel variants, the prices of India’s safest car XUV300 have been slashed by almost Rs 90,000 in the Indian market. That said, the highest reduction belonged to the W8 (O) petrol variant which witnessed an Rs 87,129 cut in its price. The entry-level W4 petrol variant, in the meantime, now costs just under Rs 8 lakh, seeing its price slashed by Rs 35,000 over the previous one. The W6 petrol has seen the least price reduction of Rs 17,000 and its new price now stands at Rs 8.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
Alongside reducing the prices for all petrol variants of the XUV300, the home-grown company has also increased the price sticker for two diesel variants of the model. The entry-level W4 diesel model has witnessed a slight increase of Rs 1,000 as it now stands at Rs 8.70 lakh price point. Meanwhile, the W6 diesel model’s price has also been hiked by Rs 20,000 to Rs 9.70 lakh. On the contrary, the W8 diesel and W8 (O) diesel trims saw a reduction of Rs 20,000 and Rs 39,000 and they are now positioned at Rs 10,75 and Rs 11,75 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom).
With all these price cuts in the Mahindra XUV300, the chance of the overall costs (included road tax and registration fees) getting lower is very high, from which customers can avail an accumulative benefit of up to Rs 1 lakh. However, it is quite sad that Mahindra has withdrawn all the discounts and offers on accessories with the announcement of the XUV300’s price reduction. Still, an Rs 25,000 worth exchange bonus and a corporate discount of Rs 4,500 are available for XUV300’s prospective buyers during the month of August 2020.
