Among 38 vehicles tested by Global NCAP since 2014, Mahindra’s popular compact SUV, the XUV300 has topped the Global NCAP’s 6-year safety rankings.

Gone are the days when Mahindra cars were known for having poor safety standards. We’ve seen a lot of modern Mahindra cars that score good ratings in global safety tests. Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday announced that its compact SUV, the XUV300 has topped off the Global NCAP’s 6-year safety rankings over 38 vehicles under the assessments of the same.

“This is a proud moment for us at Mahindra. Earlier this year, the XUV300 was rated by GNCAP as the safest vehicle in India and now it has been recognized as the safest vehicle over the last 6 year. This demonstrates our strong commitment towards vehicle safety and is a big leap forward for the Indian automotive industry”, commented Veejay Nakra, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

As per the GNCAP’s results, the Mahindra XUV300 receives the highest scores in the occupant safety production among all cars rated in the last six years. It gets a 5-star GNCAP rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-star child occupant safety rating, which is the first for an Indian-made car.
