Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Registers Highest Monthly Sales, Overtakes Innova Crysta and Marazzo

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has gained an impressive Year-to-Year growth of 72 per cent. It has beaten other MVP to become the best selling car in the segment, again.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga registers the impressive growth of 72 per cent in February compared with the same month last year, making it the best-selling car in the segment.

In February, Maruti has sold 7,975 units of the Ertiga, which is 72 per cent higher than last year’s February sales. Moreover, compared with last month’s record, the Ertiga also register the growth of 26 per cent. With this unstoppable growth, Maruti has successfully remained the segment-leading position.

The latest Ertiga has landed on the market in November 2018. Built on the HEARTECT platform, Ertiga has grown in length, width and height while the wheelbase is kept at 2,740mm. The growth in size has enabled the Ertiga to expand its second and third-row space. Also, the cargo space now measures at 209 litres, and with rear seats folded, it could be expanded to 803 litres.

Exteriorly, the Ertiga has renovated the front bumper and the front grille along with the projector headlight units. On the rear side, it gains new LED tail lamps and rear bumper. Maruti also counts various new features in on the new Ertiga.

Under the hood, the Ertiga is the second Maruti model to adopt the newly developed 1.5 L petrol engine. This engine is packed with dual battery. Moreover, it has the maximum power of 105PS and maximum torque of 138Nm. A 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto gearbox will be responsible for escorting the power to the wheels. The smart hybrid system that comes with auto start/stop and brake energy recovery system is added.

The recent Ertiga still uses the 1.3-litre diesel engine that makes 89 PS and 200 Nm. However, the company is working on a new 1.5-litre diesel engine that would replace the ongoing diesel motor. The new oil burner could run the maximum power of 95 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque.

Maruti Ertiga is now retailed through NEXA outlets at the price range from 7.44 to 10.9 lakh.
