Mahindra will introduce a restyled Mahindra logo on the upcoming Mahindra XUV500 which is set to launch next year.

As per the recent report, Mahindra is about to introduce a new brand logo in early next year. The revised logo will make its debut on the new-gen Mahindra XUV500. At this point, the design of this new Mahindra logo remains a secret. For all the existing models, Mahindra is still using the familiar oval-shaped emblem with three chrome strips representing the M letter of Mahindra. This logo was first seen at the Mahindra Scorpio back in 2002.

The new emblem adds another reason to look for the upcoming Mahindra XUV500. The new-gen XUV500 is expected to adopt some major updates for the exterior and interior. According to the latest spy images, the next-gen SUV will feature a dual-tone interior scheme and a wide Mercedes-Benz-inspired touchscreen that integrates both the infotainment system display and instrument panel.

Apart from this opulent touchscreen display, it is also expected that Mahindra XUV500 will offer Level 1 autonomous technology. It will be the first model in the segment to get this high-end feature. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ASAD) which powers the Level 1 autonomy includes features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection and drowsiness detection.

Mahindra XUV500 will also sport Mahindra’s most powerful petrol engine. Accordingly, the 2.0-litre turbo mStallion petrol unit will be employed on the Mahindra XUV500. This unit is powerful enough to put out 190bhp of top power and 380Nm of maximum torque. The existing 2.2-litre engine still remains, but it will be slightly updated to generate more power. The new-gen Mahindra XUV500 will come with two choices of transmissions, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
