The Maruti Suzuki Swift has topped the sales charts for the second month in a row. The automaker launched the updated Swift in February 2021 which gave the hatchback a mild design refresh and some added features. The Swift registered a growth of 153% with 21,714 units sold in March 2021, compared to 8,575 units sold in the same period last year. Prices for the 2021 Maruti Swift range from Rs 5.73 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh, ex-showroom. Interestingly, we could figure out that Maruti sold over 20 units of Swift every hour in March this year, but only with a calculator at our disposal.

Coming at second place is the Maruti Baleno, which posted sales of 21,217 units in March 2021 as compared to 11,406 in the same month last year, and has registered a sales growth of 86% on a YoY basis. The Baleno lost out to the Swift for the top-selling vehicle of March 2021 by only 497 units. If sales of the Baleno and the Toyota Glanza were combined, the cumulative total would have surpassed the sales numbers of the Swift. The Baleno is priced between Rs 5.90 lakh and Rs 9.10 lakh, ex-showroom.
