Renault Kiger South Africa Export Commences

The first lot of 760 units of the sub-4m compact SUV has been despatched from Chennai port.

Renault India has announced that it has started exporting the Renault Kiger to South Africa. The first lot of 760 units of the sub-4m compact SUV has been despatched to the country from Chennai port. Except for South Africa, the company also exports the India-made Kiger to Nepal and plans to make the car available in more countries including Indonesia and other SAARC regions soon.

Speaking on the commencement of Renault Kiger South Africa exports, Mr. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations, said:

The Renault Kiger was launched in India earlier this year. The sub-4m compact SUV is developed and manufactured in our country. The B-SUV that competes with the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and the likes, is available in the Indian market at a starting price of INR 5.64 lakh for the base RXE 1.0L ENERGY MT model. The range-topping RXZ X-TRONIC (CVT) 1.0L TURBO DUAL TONE variant retails at INR 10.08 lakh.
