Suzuki Connect, a new telematics solution, to be launched in the Indian market at Rs. 9.999

Maruti has introduced its latest technology - the advanced telematics solution named Suzuki Connect in the Indian market. It is now available as an option for Nexa cars.

With an aim to enhance the experience of the customers and make the car technology more relevant to today’s users, Suzuki has introduced a new telematics solution services named Suzuki Connect. Suzuki Connect will be able for the NEXA’s customers.

1. What is Suzuki Connect?

Telematics solution offers a wide range of smart features and great connectivity, including, vehicle tracking, emergency alerts, live vehicle status, and preventive maintenance calls as well as driving behaviour analysis. 

Suzuki Connect allows car user to access many useful and smart features

Suzuki Connect could be connected through Nexa’s app, which is available now in the iOS and Android. Smartphone support optimizes user’s experience and makes the solution a user-friendly and more accessible for the average customers. The price for a three-year subscription is Rs. 9,999 – a good price for such a multi-purpose feature. For the new Suzuki cars to release in the future, the telematics solution will be available as an option. Moreover, other previous Nexa model could also get assess to this particular feature through retrofit.

A nationwide extensive study was conducted to understand the challenges that Indian car owners face daily and their expectations from these solutions. 'Suzuki Connect' empowers customers to manage a host of services such as emergency alerts, vehicle tracking, driving behaviour analysis, car assistance and many more functions on their fingertips and create a delightful car ownership experience. Unlike other OBD based telematics solutions available in the market, 'Suzuki Connect' is a TCU based solution which is better, safer and more user-friendly."

2. How could Suzuki Connect better your driving experience?

Suzuki Connect being introduced for Indian customer is the result of intensive technological research and tests as well as market and customer behavior studies. These efforts have helped Suzuki to acknowledge the biggest concerns of the customers – which are Safety and Security. As the result, the Japanese automaker has focused Suzuki Connect on improving the safety as well as security. Vehicle Tracking System, which includes effective features like live vehicle tracking, Geo-Fence, navigation, location sharing as well as tow-away alert, will be offered as the solution for customer’s biggest concern. Notably, Suzuki Connect will connect the cars of the same system and in the case of an emergency, it could allow the driver to send information to other picked users.

Suzuki Connect will bring out a high level of safety and great performance

Next to Safety and Security, the performance of a car is also another common concern among customer. To deal with this, Suzuki Connect provides a function named Live Vehicle Tracking which could send low-fuel alerts, service reminders, speed warning as well show a trip summary. 

The manufacturer also emphasizes the high-security level of this new telematics solution. Data transference will be one-way, from the vehicle to the cloud only. 

It is a milestone on Suzuki’s path toward an ecosystem of connected cars. It is expected that by 2020, 2.6 percent of cars in India will be connected.
