Tata Nexon Witnesses Sales Growth Of 111% - HIGHEST Of All Time

Launched earlier this year, the facelifted Tata Nexon received some slight aesthetic updates: some new features and BS6-compliant motors. The compact SUV was first launched in the Indian auto market three years ago and has attained a certain amount of prestige in the Indian auto market. Noteworthily, in September 2020, the Nexon has achieved a sales growth of 111% in comparison with that in the same period of last year, which is the highest of all time.

Last month, while the Tata Nexon witnessed a breakthrough in the sales number, the compact SUV still held the fourth position in the compact SUV sales chart in India. The first position was taken up by the Kia Sonet with 9,266 units sold, followed by Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon and Mahindra Bolero with 9,153 units, 8,469 units, 6,007 units and 5,797 units respectively. The Tata Nexon has managed to overtake the Mahindra XUV300, its most formidable competitor, in terms of sales.

The facelifted Tata Nexon is equipped with restyled automatic headlights, newly-designed front and rear bumpers and new alloy rims. The interior features of the compact SUV include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls, a digital instrument cluster, rear air-conditioning vents, dual front airbags and reverse parking camera.

The new Tata Nexon receives its power from a 1.2-litre 3-cyl turbo gasoline burner and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel motor which can generate 120 PS against 170 Nm and 110 PS against 260 Nm, respectively. The transmission duties are undertaken by a 6-speed MT/AMT for both of the versions. The compact SUV is priced in the range from INR 7 lakh to INR 12.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
