Previously, the 1.2-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine was only offered with Polo GT TSI and top-spec Vento, while iterations of the 1.5-litre TDI diesel mill did the job in VW Vento, Polo diesel and Polo GT TDI. Moreover, the German giant has also stopped offering the 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that powered the VW Vento. The VW Polo will continue to be powered with the 1.0-litre MPI petrol motor. Please note that this engine will only propel the entry-level variants of the car. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre TSI engine will power VW Vento and high-end trims of Polo.
