Honda Cars India Limited has announced brilliant discounts and deals for the BS6 Amaze for May 2020.
With the nationwide lockdown renewed once again, albeit with lesser restriction, carmakers are struggling to regain sales momentum. Honda Cars India Limited is also going through the same rough patch. To attract customers, the Japanese carmaker is offering some brilliant discounts and deals on their most affordable sedan offering in India – the Amaze.
The 2020 Honda Amaze (BS6 model) is available with an extended 5-year warranty worth Rs. 12,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000. The bonus is added on to the value of the car brought in for exchange. If the customer doesn't have an old car, or chooses to opt out of the exchange offer, then there is an additional scheme available; You can opt for a 50 per cent discount on the AMC service package, available at just Rs. 8,000.
The BS6-compliant 2020 Honda Amaze is priced between Rs. 6.09 lakh and Rs. 9.95 lakh. There are two engine options available here. First is the 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, inline-4, ‘i-VTEC’ petrol motor, which is capable of producing a peak power of 90 PS and a maximum torque of 110 Nm. The second option is a 1.5-litre, turbocharged, inline-4, ‘i-DTEC’ mill, which generates 100 PS and 200 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard with both the powerplants, while an optional CVT automatic is also available on select trims.
As for the standard safety equipment, the Honda Amaze has quite an impressive list. You get two front airbags (driver and front passenger), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Central Locking, Child Locks, seatbelt pre-tensioner, seatbelt reminder (front seats), door open warning, ISOFIX child seat mounts. On higher trims, you’ll find a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system on offer, with multiple connectivity options like Android Auto, Apple Carplay, USB, Aux, and Bluetooth.
In other news, Honda is preparing a new facelift model of the Jazz. Along with the aesthetic refresh, the Honda hatchback will also gain BS6-compliance. It will feature the same engine and transmission options as the Amaze. Sadly, we won’t be seeing the new generation Jazz (fourth-gen Honda Fit in Japan) on Indian roads any time soon.
