While Hyundai has just started with the deliveries of the Verna facelift, this one has already got itself a set of new shoes.

Hyundai Verna facelift has just been launched in the country at a starting price of Rs. 9.30 lakh. The carmaker has also started delivering the car via its operational dealerships. The refreshed Verna is one of the most stylish C-Segment sedans of the country. No wonder, then, that it gets a lot of love from the India audience, especially the youngsters. Recently, the very first unit of the Verna facelift was delivered in Punjab in Samrala district and it has already been spruced up with a set of aftermarket alloy wheels shod with sportier rubber. The 5-spoke silver-finished alloy wheels with low-profile rubber complement the car’s sporty silhouette.

The aftermarket alloy wheels give the car a spotier appeal, but lowering it a little would give it an even better stance.

The car in the pictures looks like the range-topping SX(O) variant. The facelifted Verna is offered in a total of 5 variants, namely S, S+, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Turbo. It comes loaded with all the bells and whistles to give a tough fight to the competition. The third-gen Verna measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. To fit in the luggage of all the occupants, it also offers an adequately large boot volume of 480 litres.

The Turbo variant of the Hyundai Verna competes against the VW Vento 1.0 TSI.

In the BS-6 regime, Hyundai is offering the Verna with 3 engine options. The cheapest one of the lot is the 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor with a rated output of 115 PS/144 Nm. It is available with 2 transmission options – 6-speed MT and a CVT automatic. Next on the list is a 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel that too displaces 1.5-litre. It puts out 115 PS/250 Nm as its maximum output and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The last on the list is the smallest and most powerful unit. It is a 1.0L 3-pot turbo-petrol motor. It dishes out 120 PS and 172 Nm as its peak output figures. And, it comes mated to a 7-speed DCT that offers lag-free shifts.
